2. Booking ahead

We can get heavily booked or booked-up completely, a week or two ahead, but also receive last-minute cancellations from time-to-time. It is always worth telephoning to check availability, so don’t hesitate to contact us. If you are planning to be in Orkney on a specific date, or are celebrating a special occasion, be sure to book in advance.

3. Drinks before Dinner

Relax in the Lounge at the Foveran.

We do not have a separate bar area from our restaurant, however we do have a small lounge where you can enjoy a pre-dinner drink or perhaps a night-cap of one of our famous local whiskies. Local drinks include Highland Park, Scapa Malt and Sinclair Breweries.

4. Larger parties

All bookings for exclusive use of the restaurant and large parties of 8 or more people will be discussed on a one-to-one basis. The maximum number of guests we can seat is 50 (should a top table be required this restricts guests numbers to 44). For private hire we do require a minimum of 40 adults guests. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

5. Children

As parents ourselves, we love children who enjoy their food and are happy dining with their families in the restaurant. However, we would remind parents that people dining in the restaurant are there for an enjoyable night-out and their experience could be marred by sitting alongside children who are tired and fidgety. Whilst we do not offer a children’s menu the kitchen is happy to alter dishes and serve smaller portions.

6. Gift voucher

Voucher

Gift Vouchers can be purchased for any amount towards the cost of a meal, a bottle of wine, accommodation, or all of these things together. They are very popular with our customers, especially when purchased as a gift for an important birthday, anniversary, or a retirement present. We can also arrange for a last-minute gift of a bottle of wine, for example, to be placed on the table for a friend or relative, with an appropriate message.

Please contact us by telephone for personal advice about Gift Vouchers, or to make special arrangements for someone who plans to visit us. Vouchers are valid from 12 months from date of purchase.
